Piram Bet (History)

Piram Bet is an island in Gulf of Cambay of Arabian sea. It is near Ghogha in Bhavnagar.It is very famous for the farming of Bajra. There are total 4 water well and the water is salty.This area is come under red zone. The crab of Piram are very famous and even we can see Jelly fish and Dolphin there. Every year our Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University organise Trekking separately for girls and boys to Piram Bet. This time I am lucky enough that I get a chance to go in this trekking. This Trekking helps us to saw the enormous beauty of an island very closely. This island possesses natural beauty as well as historical beauty. The island was once ruled by brave king Mokhdaji Gohil who fought against Muhammad bin Tughlaq and he was wounded in the battle but continued to fight with Sultan's army. He was beheaded in the battle.

What does 'Trekking' real means? 

Whenever we go for any type of trekking, it doesn't only mean that to have lots of fun. There we have to do some work also. That's all we do today in our trekking. we collected garbage from everywhere. It was very shameful act that many people throws garbage, plastic bags here and there. They are destroying the real beauty of nature. These type of careless people are meant for nothing. If someone cannot treat nature with healthy intention as there then the nature will also act against them, against mankind in form of disaster.

We went to Pirambet costel tracking camp organised by University. We are very lucky students to visit the place. Because without permission we not visit that place. So Bhavanagar University get a chance to go there and learn a so many informative things. There place is very good. We are ninety girls gone there and enjoy a lot and learn a so many new things.

First of all we meet to one temple and Mokhadaji's area. There temple Vasudevsir introduce all guest. # Dr.Kishansingh Tuvar who is health officer from vartej, Dr. Patel sir, Amitbhai Parmar who is new in this university basketball coach, Jarnalist Jayesh Bhatt, Hemant Bhai and Dilip Singh Gohil. Vasudevsir gave some history of "Saint Jivabhabapu Darbar" and also gave History of king Mokhadaji then we going to tracking and and went to light house. Light House is a very useful things. It is very helpful to outsider and light house worked to find a perticular place or particular Boudries. we met one Afroj Sheikh light house keeper. Who is navigation officer in this field. 

He work on pirambet island. There island we get knowledge on how to work all satalights and all mashion. He was learn so many basic thing about how to useful light house and how to work on satalights. He was gave some information like, "બોયું ", Gas system, petromax, use of which lamp in lighthouse, solar comeotion, satalights, Center of sun pirambet, which sign language through colour of light in lighthouse, movement and Recognize "Character" in Navigation. He was says that on around there island there were six light house, he also gave knowledge on GPS position in sea. After that we are going to Mud Tracking and enjoy so many things in Mud tracking.

So thanks to bhavanagar University for organizing this tracking and gave a wonderful change and also thanks to sport coach Vasudevsir, Dilip Singh Gohil sir and our honorable vice chancellor Mahipat Singh vhavda. And aslo thanks to our HOD Dr. Dilip Barad sir for gave instructions for this and says to participate this tracking.
