Thinking activity: Workshop on Quality and Authenticity of Web Resources

On 19 November 2019 organised workshop so I am share on a workshop about "Quality and Authenticity of Web Resources." This workshop organised by Dr. Dilip Barad sir at the Department of English.This workshop based on introduced students to check the authenticity of web resources and evaluate them accordingly.


SEER     Source Educational Evaluation Rubric

We are assigned to prepare assaignment and prepare paper presentation at that time some people follow to the method of Cut Copy paste. At that situation in all are find that educational Evaluation Rubric. That system such a great and checking plagiarism in Urkund, Turnitin and many others resources in we all are checking our own document. And we all are see that what is good which type use of CCP. That is a Authorise or not? And this Assaignment and web side valuable or not.

Turnitin rubrics is a prevent plagiarism and connect with digital resources. Thare are five steps to check web sources in below. That five points through find that, that is a regarded or not and this site is help for advance educational goals and use original content or not. 

(1) Authority:-
        Is the site well regarded, cited and written by experts in the field?

(2) Educational Value:-
             Does the site help advance educational goals?

(3) Intent:
               Is the site a well respected source of Content intended to inform users?

(4) Originality:-
                     Is the site a source original content and viewpoints?

(5) Quality:-
           Is the site highly vetted with good coverage of the topical area?

★ so here I am evaluated based on rubric following the web resources.

(1) SparkNotes

  • Authoritative-  4 regarded site that is referenced and linked to by others. Information is well-referenced, cited and written by authors with expertise in the content area.
  • Education Value- 4 site is a leading source of Content that exceeds instructions goals.
  • Intent- 3 site is a well-regarded source of information whose job is to inform.
  • Originality- 2 site aggregates or repurposed content.
  • Quality- 4 site content is high quality and enough content is provided to establish good coverage.

(2) Cliffsnotes


  • Authoritative-  4 regarded site that is referenced and linked to by others. Information is well-referenced, cited and written by authors with expertise in the content area.
  • Education Value- 3 site is a regarded source of Content that meets instructional goals.
  • Intent- 3 site is a well-regarded source of information whose job is to inform.
  • Originality- 2 site aggregates or repurposed content.
  • Quality- 4 site content is high quality and enough content is provided to establish good coverage.

(3) Wikipedia

  • Authoritative-  2 Regarded site that has reputable information that is referenced and cited.
  • Education Value- 3 site is a regarded source of Content that meets instructional goals.
  • Intent- 1 site promotes content; the goal of the site is not to "inform" users.
  • Originality- 3 site offers original content and view points.
  • Quality- 2 site content is of quality and there is some broader content coverage.
There are put normally all things instructions. I think about this site has admirable for educational value, Originality and Quality. I am evaluate of some web sources and three websites. So this workshop also good for all learners and now in future we all are research on assaignment and PHD theses. So this is a good organized session and helped a lot for check the authenticity of web resources. So thank you so much Dr. Dilip Barad sir for organising this amazing workshop.
