Write on any two or all topics:

1. Globalization and on@tcc

“Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology” (Globalization)

Globalization and Literature one night @ Call Center that you might be situated how novel situated that Globalization and literature. It is releted to economics. Question like how far student like Literature. It is always multi-displinary, it is study of asthetic of Literature.

It is dealing with philosophy. We can take history of Plato and Aristotle. What is the historical deal and this is started in 21st with psychology then sociology and then started to the political way. And Homi. K Bhabha started critical way. In there were politics with create imagination. There are several work done by some of the writer.

                               By. Thomas Friedman

1) internationalization: This like global that act of Globalisation.

2) Liberalization: Seprate of Literature: Freedom of expression.

3) Universalisation:

4) Western or Modernization: When we use technology, electricity and net connection.

5) Deterritorialization: second phase is policies and institutions, trade and capital market Liberalization.

Globalization is that Indian youth are getting good job opportunities in western countries. It is a thing of pride that the companies like Microsoft cannot think about their business without taking into consideration the Indian software engineers.

Americanized form of English in Call Centers, Workers forced to change their names to Western one

    e.g. like,
                  Shyam Mehra – Sam Mercy
                  Varun Malhotra  - Victor
                  Radhika Jha – Regima Jones
                  Esha singh – Elina

One of the bright sides of globalization is that Indian youth are getting good job opportunities in western countries.

2. Self-help and on@tcc:

Contemporary issues in novel define realistic and this realism is social. It is social reality and social issues.

  • Exploitation of emlpoyed in private sector
  • Divorce and marraige
  • Jobs, money, salary, career
  • Generation Gap between military uncle and his family.
  • Lack of self confidence.
  • Phishing (Cyber crime)
  • Glamour world ( TV , Cinema, OTT)
  • Nationalism
So people says that all Literature is self help. Chatan Bhagat  says that in this novel, self help His is connected here. And he is not written non fictional book bus he is storytelling.
"Be Honest it is meaningful to you".

Self help book is more realistic and Recintext in constitualise. In this book, Character portray is a problem and pro young people to learn.

#There are four things a person needs for success - Self help.
  1. Intelligence (Mediam almost)
  2. Imagination
  3. Shyam has lost - self confidence
  4. Failure
"One remember the reverse gear,
And two, make friends with the rods.

Self help book is about moral lesson, solution of problems and also helpful for build personal philosophy. The meaning of Self-Help Book is to self improvement, Genre – non fictional book. Self –help books often focus on popular psychology such as romantic relationship, or aspects of the mind and human behavior. In On@tcc God’s call it shows the moral massage and it developed self confidence of characters.

Here we see that all character present the real life situation, of the people. In the story we see that character of Shyam, who almost lost his love. Character of Radhika is in an unhappy marriage with demanding mother-in-law. Character of Military Uncle, who wants to talk to his grandson. Character of Mr.Bakshi, who boss of the call center, all hate them because of their cruel and somehow sadist behaviour.

We see that all character suffer in their life. Also these all problems we find in our real life and also in the society. With help of the type of book we find solution of the problem. Chetan Bhagat’s present the real life situation of the people and how they all manage the life.

We can say that Chetan's God becomes a mouthpiece for his self help - 'listen to the inner call'. It is about inner call or inner voice. A self-help book is one that is written with the intention to instruct its readers on solving personal problems. God’s call it is a kind of a help, or it can be interpreted in many ways. God’s call pays the path, he shows just the path, but then all characters help themselves. In this way we can take this book as a self help book also.

 God's message to the group
 Four things needed for success:
 ‐ a medium amount of intelligence,
 ‐ a bit of imagination
 ‐ self‐confidence
 ‐ Facing, suffering failure

Chetan Bhagat book One Night @ the Call Center. We see that how Chetan Bhagat present the people life situation. In the story we see that all character suffer in their life. Many problems in their life. But then they all live in the life.

3. Popular Literature and on@tcc

Chetan Bhagat is popular write of the age in his work he use simple language that is very easy to understand for the reader. His books appeal to the reader widely accepted by the youngsters. This novel there is some of situation and like supernatural things that not happened in reality or real life. In One Night @ Call center in,

 GOD’s Call

 More familiar or accepted moral teaching.

 Highly reflective of philosophy of life.

 Narrative technique.

 Mystic element and supernatural elements, like the end of the novel.

  • It does not deal with abstract problem
  • It does not raise or answer abstract questions
  • It is devoid of an explicitly ideational element ( Intellectual formation of idea / concepts)
  • Symbols are easy to comprehend
  • It does not donland a scholarly response from readers.
  • Lacks "High seriousness" and "Sincerely" Mathae Arnold.
  • In 'Literature' Language is used carefully and reflects high seriousness and sincerity.
  • Even 'Simplicity' is well throughout, deeper, philosophical in 'Literature'.

4. Comparative study of Narrative Structure on on@tcc and Life of Pi

There is unreliable narrative structure in the novel because from the very beginning the story is narrated by a strange woman to Chetan Bhagat in the train. Then she forced him to write it as his second book without mentioning her name. Chetan Bhagat then write story and used one character Shyam for narration. In this way it becomes unreliable.

There is similarity of narrative structure between Life of Pi and One Night @call centre. In the life of Pi, the protagonist told the story to the writer, just like the woman in the train telling story to Chetan Bhagat. There are two stories being told and it was upon the writer that which they select to write, the one is with God or the one without God. In both the cases the writer chose to write story with God.

In short, this novel deals with the theme of Deus ex Machina, Human Relations, Strategic, Love, Sex and Marriage. The aim of Bhagat’s is to convey a message to the people of India from the situation of the characters like the harshness of the situation of women in India.

Thank you.
