In this video, David Crystal's says that technology always has influenced language it has to technology always has influenced. There were some of the tool, which is used technology. Like, Newspaper, Teliphone, blog, Facebook (2004), you tube (2005), Twitter (2006). This are all tool we familiar and meaningful communication is changed in technology. It should be hard for linguistic to be acquainted with this changing phase of use of English language in communication. Notice that the technologies influence the language in quite specific ways the most obvious examples are the short messaging services. Then the English language today is almost idential with what it was 20 year ago. There are several words which are replaced with the changing phase of time like text massaging especially is a disaster for the English there is a commentator in Britain know Britain his name is John Humphries.

In the other big trend in language change is the globalization of English - This is very important on online platform and learn the all new things. Along with it if a traditional teacher teaches his students to British English and the only kind of accent is receiver pronunciation, it can be obstacle in becoming a global in matter of communication.

Video : 3 David Crystal: Texting is 'Good' for English Language

Here in this video he goes against the idea that texting is only done by kids. He says that texting kind of language and Language is studied by linguistic. This cannot be so far relevant in nowadays. When we all know that communication become online through digital platform and it becomes part of our life we can also learn through it. It cannot be only matter of kids but it becomes a new medium of language learning. He gave some of the texting like,

Myths are as follows a lot of people believe that texting is done by kids.

Secondly that the kids fill their text messages with abbreviations entirely abbreviated these massage. 

Thirdly that the massage these abbreviations are invented by kids. It's a modern things.

Fourthly kids are leaving the letter out they don't know how to spell.

Fifthly they don't know how to spell. They're putting all these things into their examinations and a results.

Then talked about accusation that kids can't you know then enriched the language then everyone has to agree that literacy is important learning to read and write.

In a very short, it can be said that technology is a very important medium to learn the contemporary education and as well it stands as on that platform and shape the future language learning.
