Thinking activity : Unit:4 Cultural studies in practice: Frankenstein and writer's market

Hello Readers!!!

I share my blog on Cultural studies in Frankenpheme in contemporary Indian culture and popular artist or writer and his market. It is a part of Cultural studies. This activity given by Dr Dilip Barad sir.

Frankenpheme in contemporary Indian culture:

In the Routledge Literary Sourcebook on Frankenstein, Timothy morton uses the term Frankenphemes, drawn from phonemes (sonic elements of language, as used in structural linguistics) and  graphemes (visual elements), as 'Elements of culture that are derived from Frankenstein." Either a separate work of art isnspired, or some kernel is derived from Shelley's novel and repeated in another medium. Broadly defined, Frankenphemesd demonstrate the extent of the novel's presence in world cultures, as the encoding of race and class in the 1824 Cannings speech in Parliament, in today's global debates about such things as genetically engineered foods, and of course in fictiona other media. We end with a quick look at some of the thousands of retellings, parodies, and other selected Frankenphemes as they have appeared in popular fiction, drama, film, and television. Start thinking about this now: Hawthorne made the first film version of Frankenstein? Answer coming up. (But be warned: if yout "Frankenstein" into your Web browser/ your computer  may explode!)

Let's we discussed any popular artist/writer and his market:

"The Love of Fiends" Hawthorne's says that under what conditions and in what frame of mind and handle the challenges of getting a work of fiction publish. It is seemingly disparate world's. (1) Hawthorne's exploration of his own pert fears during the middle third of the nine-teenth century.

Hawthorne also discusses the material conditions of this novel's production: if he had not been fired when the election of Zachary Taylor put him and other political appointees out of favor, he would not have been intellectually enough to write the novel. Still, as a mark of his anxieties, he had to use the ruse of a "found" manuscript to publish the book.

Thank you...
