what do you understand by the theory of 'Ecocriticism' ?
Ecocriticisn can be applied to a primary source by either interpretation a text through an Ecocritical lens, with an eye towards nature, or examining an ecocritical trope Within the text. It is a branch of feminism that sees environmentalism, and the relationship between women and the earth, as foundational to its analysis and practice. Ecofeminist thinkers draw on the concept of gender to analyse the relationship between humans and the natural world.
This term of criticism has been relatively successful keeping itself away from the moral and philosophical disputes compared to the other forms of criticism. The work efforts of Glotfelty played a significant role in convincing other scholars for using this term to refer to the line of studies known as green studies previously.

This is an attempt to outline a new utopian horizon, addressing the environmental issue from the catagoties of patriarchy, androcentrism, care, sexism and gender. If feminism wants to maintain its internationalist vocation, it must also think in environmentalist terms, because poor women of the so-called "South" are the first victims of the destruction of the environment.
Ecofeminism can help us understand this brotherhood and act in consequence. It is time demand, teach and share attitudes, roles and virtues, because praising the virtual of care without this praise for a critical approach that condemns power relations finally ends in a sweetened and discourse.
